State Tuition Assistance has increased from $4000.00 a year to $5000.00 a year towards tuition and fees! This is an incredible increase in education benefits for Soldiers and Airmen. Pass this information along to both current and prospective members.

The G1 Education Services needs your help to forward this reminder to your Soldiers’ e-mail through your unit’s drill notice email distro list.

  1. The State Education Assistance Program is an educational benefit for Idaho Army National Guard Soldiers that has been renewed for state FY18.  Soldiers now can get up to $5000 a fiscal year for tuition AND registration costs! MUST APPLY BEFORE CLASS STARTS.

  1. Soldiers who are eligible for Federal Tuition Assistance (FTA) going to eligible institutions must apply for FTA first.   SEAP may be used with FTA after applying for FTA in accordance with the SEAP Statement of Understanding (SOU).

  1. ALL applications will only be accepted online through GKO at .   Soldiers can apply at home with a CAC reader and CAC software installed (and then they can get their official DISA email also).

  2. Soldiers who currently applied for SEAP this fiscal year must sign the new SOU and upload in GKO for the new $5000 limit.  All amounts depend on approval according to SEAP guidelines in SOU and school invoice that was uploaded in GKO.

All Applications are on a first come, first served basis.   Documents MUST be uploaded within the first four weeks of class to qualify.  Contact our education office for any questions.
